The Mexican auto parts industry is advancing at a steady pace of recovery and closes the first eight months of 2025 with a solid performance. During this period, national production reached 78,830 million dollars, showing a slight contraction of -5.47%, but with a significant improvement compared to previous months. Querétaro stands out as one of the most relevant actors in the country, consolidating itself as one of the main contributors to national manufacturing thanks to its productive capacity, its technological specialization and its growing attractiveness for new investments. The state contributes 7.8% of the total auto parts manufactured in Mexico, equivalent to 6,191 million dollars, positioning itself among the five largest producers in the country. Its strength lies in the manufacture of electrical components, transmissions, engine parts and suspension systems, segments that represent more than half of national production and that have driven the arrival of projects focused on automotive electronics, composite materials and solutions for electromobility. 

Mexico also maintains its place as the main supplier of auto parts to the United States, with a 43.37% share of its imports and the country’s exports reached 68,567 million dollars between January and August, equivalent to 86.98% of total production. With imports of 44,933 million dollars, the positive trade balance of 23,634 million confirms the country’s relevance as a strategic partner in North America. The stability of the U.S. automotive market, where sales grew 6.38% in August and cumulative production reached 6.78 million units, continues to be a decisive boost for the Mexican industry. This dynamism strengthens industrial planning, gives certainty to supply chains and consolidates states such as Querétaro as key areas for the growth of the auto parts sector in the coming years.
