During March 2025, San Luis Potosí positioned itself as one of the entities with the greatest industrial dynamism in the country, ranking third nationally for annual growth and fifth position compared to the previous month. 

According to data from the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF) of the INEGI, the industrial activity of Potosi registered a growth of 9.2% compared to March 2024. This performance placed the entity among the most outstanding at the national level. 

Compared to February of this year, the industry in San Luis Potosí grew 4.2 percentage points, reflecting a steady pace of expansion within the national context. 

At the sectoral level, the greatest advances were in the manufacturing industry, with an increase of 18.4%; followed by total industrial activity, with 15.1%; construction with 8.8%; and mining, with 8.5%. The only drop was observed in electricity generation and transmission, which presented a decrease of 21.2%. 

This behavior reaffirms San Luis Potosí’s position as an industrial benchmark at the national level, with growth driven by strategic sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure and logistics development. 

The data confirm a positive trend sustained in recent years, consolidating the state as a key pole for industrial development in Mexico.
